Growing Degree Update

To follow up on the Integrated Pest Management and Growing Degree Days as of July 12, here is an update for our accumulated GDD’s.

Our gardens are ALIVE with activity! Little wonder. We have increased our Accumulated Growing Degree Days by over 1,000 GDD in the past month! We now have 2,278 Accumulated Growing Degree Days. Please remember that living organism development levels off when the upper temperature of 85° is reached. We’ve had plenty of this hot weather so far this summer!

As far as rainfall here in Kodak, our total, year-to-date, is 20.33 inches. Today, so far, we’ve received .86” (more is predicted for this afternoon). July’s total rainfall is 1.26”.
